Professional service

All of our financial planning executives are professionally qualified, will communicate in terms you understand and provide advice aimed at optimising your position.

Saving time and trouble

Some people are too busy to administer all of their investments and financial affairs but we can handle many administrative tasks. You can avoid having to communicate with tiresome helplines and product providers who do not understand your position.

As a part of an integrated private bank, we are in touch with financial markets and can advise you of any relevent changes. We operate a regular review system which provides a disciplined approach to money management without trying to exclude your ideas, which are always of interest to us. We are also pleased to coordinate the services of your other professional advisers.

Independence

Successful planning requires objectivity. We are completely free from association with other institutions and issue no products of our own.

An Integrated Approach

The advice and care that you receive across the HSBC Bank is coordinated by your relationship manager. This integrated approach to your financial affairs will, in our experience, ensure that our services are delivered in a timely and cost effective fashion.

Clear and fair charges

We charge fees for our services and, if we receive any commissions from third parties, these are identified in advance and can be offset against fees payable. An estimate will be given before we start work and is kept under review during assignments.

Our planning process
Stage
Features and benefits
Initial Meeting

We will gather information about you and your objectives, current financial position and risk tolerance. This will be recorded in a questionnaire which, when agreed by you, will form the basis of our planning.
The initial meeting comes at no cost and does not bind you to a future relationship with us.

Estimate

Following the meeting and the submission of the filenote, we will set out our understanding of your requirements. An estimate of our costs for providing initial and continuing advice will be given.
The estimate will explain the process and work involved in developing the financial plan. Any potential offset in commissions which could reduce fees and VAT will be identified.

Report

On receipt of your instruction to proceed we will research and prepare a strategic financial plan which will often include: An analysis of your existing investments, pensions, tax planning, wills, mortgage and banking services arrangements.

Strategy and specific recommendations aimed at achieving the agreed objectives.
The report will communicate clearly and in a jargon-free manner, your position, our analysis of it and specific recommendations. The report will be pitched at a level that you are completely comfortable with. We will use clear, Plain English in all our correspondence.

Discussion

The report needs discussion, preferably at a meeting, in order to achieve complete clarification. You will be able to verify your understanding of the report and the actions that are proposed.

Implementation

The process of implementing a plan, which may involve dealing with third parties, can be time consuming. Our support includes:

Paperwork preparation, including investment agreements.
Arranging medical and financial underwriting.
Liaising with contacts and other advisers.
Checking and issuing documentation.

We will control this process and minimize disruption and inconvenience to you by eliminating the need for you to contact other organisations and to deal with their processes.

Continuing advice

Regular review of your strategic financial plan is part of our ongoing commitment to clients.

Review meetings are arranged as convenient to you. We will formally propose a review meeting once a year, but you are able to contact us at any time if you feel that would be helpful.

Corporate Advice

We specialise in the design, implementation, management and communication of corporate benefit schemes, particularly pension arrangements, to ensure our clients maximize the value of their employee benefits expenditure.

Our experience covers a variety of professional sectors and includes work for small to medium sized enterprises operating globally.
